Max was outside chopping firewood for his family. Don’t forget, I said it was cold. It is very freaking cold.

“I am on my way to go see Rex before Dad gets back.” I replied.

“Are your plans for winter break still on?” he asked.

“Of course.” I replied.

“Alright, let me finish chopping this wood and and I will get Jill and come meet you at your house” Max said, picking up his iron axe. Max started doing more of the manly work around his house ever since our scouts survival training.

“Hello Dorothy,” I said as Rex came running up to jump on me, “hey Rex, how are you boy?”

I played with Rex in Dorothy’s front yard for a little while. I pulled out a ball I carried in my pocket, and Rex and I played fetch for a while. About thirty minutes later, Dorothy brought out some ice cold lemonade. It was good. “Are you still going on vacation with your dad?” Dorothy asked as she petted

I miss them already. Despite the freezing cold snow and the nipping air, we had a lovely Christmas break. As I inspect my child, now grown with children of her own, holding tickets back to their home, longing envelopes me. Hoards of people push past, unaware of my pain, on their own schedules and heading toward different trains, talking and texting on their cell phones. My family boards, time as if in slow-motion, and waves goodbye until I see them again.…

I was smiling the whole time as the skin around my neck was being ripped off. Well I wasn’t actually smiling and as brutal as I made it sound, it wasn’t as horrific an event now that I look back on it. The incident occurred while I was on Spring Break during my freshman year in high school. My family and I were vacationing in Gatlinburg, Tennessee;which if I might add we’ve been there about eight times since I was seven years old. I remember clearly that day down to the exact temperature.…

The anticipation for Thanksgiving break is over the top. The thought of home cooked meals, family, and no professors talking a student 's ear off for a week are heavenly. Although psychology is used every minute of every day i 'm only going to talk about 5 concepts, persuasion, cognition, emotion, personality, and the self.…

Christmas break in my opinion is probably the second best brake that we have throughout our school year. The main thing I like about Christmas break is how long it is. But even though I like how long we are off school it's almost like we don't have a break because basketball takes over. We get a few days off but the rest of the days are hitting the gym early in the mornings for two to three hours a day. The days I have is the best thing in the world because I get to relax and do something fun for once.…
