The organization who we were working with was called Mission Arlington. Their goal is to bring church into the homes in which people cannot physically make it to church or simply for those who feel inferior to church. The ladies who was in charge of this organization, gave all the different groups two different apartment complexes to go to starting that Sunday night until that Thursday: one for the morning starting at 10:30 and one for the afternoon starting at both being an hour and a half. Rainbow Express was what we were there for to share with the kids which basically was like a summer bible camp. We would go around knocking on hundreds of apartment doors thirty minutes before Rainbow Express started and say something like “Rainbow Express! 10:30 by the pool!” As soon as children started to arrive, we would start off playing a game with them to make them feel comfortable and to interact with them. Next, we would start off with large group; in that, we would sing the three or four songs set for that day and share the Bible verse, Jeremiah 29:11, that was rewarded with a treat if memorized. After that, we would go into small group where the scripture for that day was shared. Lastly, we would do a craft that would go with the shared scripture from that day, give them snacks, and answer any unsure thoughts. This was the same
