My story
My very first memory of my existence was when I was playing with my big brothers Scooby doo toy. But the life of an innocent child didn’t start there it started in May 8Th of 1999. Rapidly growing passing through kindergarten (elementary), middle school and resulting in high school. High school is nothing compared to what was before that or even beyond.
In elementary no one really knows the seriousness of education or life in general, most of the times, like in my case; we go to school for friends and to play during recess. Although in the year of 2009 wonderful news came to light. I was going to have a baby sister! Being in the hospital waiting for hours to finally see my little sister was overwhelming. Running through the rooms trying to find my sister and my mom and finally seeing my little sister Brizehida Reyes, the name I picked out for her, made me realize as an adult I would want to be a Pediatrician.

But they might leave me here with my aunt if it’s better for me in school. Along with this year being my brother’s final year at UCSB. So much is happening.
My life having its ups, downs, even sideways, yet it being the beginning of my life I know how I want it to end. I want to be a success for my family and me. Become a Pediatrician with my Bachelor’s or Maser’s Degree, with my husband and 3 children, along with my family being my neighbors and finally having to see my own children do as I did. From my personal experience, when I was in elementary school I remember my teacher would let us sit on yoga ball it always helped me concentrate and it helped me when I was really active because I could not move around, it will make me fall if I move around. I like the idea of standing desks because I prefer standing a lot but when I need to I could sit down on the tool, but I could still move my legs around and be somewhat active. So if one day you're feeling antsy you can just stand. Also I think if your tired it could help you stay awake. Mark Benden also states that sitting desk can cause kids to be obese, he also says that too much sitting is bad for your health.…

I’ve been in school for about 11 years, every year is different, but yet the same. Because we are at the same school for years, it’s the same people, same school, and same everyday routine. Some years are better than others, but the overall best year that I’ve experienced is or was, 8th grade. The fun field trips to places, High School acceptance, and it’s the last year of middle school.…

This year has been a crazy one. I came from a public school, not knowing anyone, so I terrified and didn't know what to expect. I struggled with trusting others, time management and battling multiple tasks at once. Luckily, I had a lot of practice throughout the year. For instance when we had to record a News Show for Mr.Mora's class, I was faced with all of these problems.…

Growing up in a small town of Tennessee and Illinois, where there were more trees than people, you knew everyone. Everyone knew you. Life was simple back then. Middle School Mid-Life Crisis Middle school, a time of cringe worthy moments and regret. I like to refer to this story as my “Middle School Mid-Life Crisis”, since I questioned the purpose of going to school almost every day, and never felt motivated to do anything. Dreading almost every day of school, not having stable mental, emotional, or physical health, and feeling dissatisfied with myself as a student. My mind set was always on countdown mode, “I just have to make it through this class period. I only have 20 more problems to do.”…

That morning I couldn’t think of anything besides the day that laid ahead. Although I was excited I still dreaded leaving the comfort of my warm bed. After I realized it was already 10:20, I shot out of bed and scurried to the shower so I wouldn’t be late. It might’ve been the fastest shower i’d ever taken. Breakfast was the last thing on my mind, even though I knew that I should eat.…

In the seventh grade, I faced a large transition in life. The previous year I had experienced middle school for the first time, but I would make that entrance again. I moved from Texas to North Dakota, where seventh grade was the first year of middle school. I took on those same fears and hopes that I had faced before, but in an unfamiliar place where I had no one except for family to give me support. I tried a lot of new things that year, mainly wrestling.…

At long last I have entered middle school as a 6th grader. The first thing on my mind was to join a sport with my friends. We all easily agreed on basketball, since it was the only one we knew how to play. I somehow ended up showing last for try outs. I didn’t let that get to me and I tried my best with my tutor watching me from the sidelines.…
