While my parents have taught me the stories of the bible since before I could talk and walk I only began to understand the concept when I was about six. Even today there are parts of our understanding of God I do not understand such as the Trinity which from the talks we have had in class I don’t think I ever could truly wrap my mind around it, due to the complexity of the idea and my limited understanding. But when I was about six the stories I heard about Jesus began to sink in and with the help of my parents I came to understand more and more about God and Jesus. My brother was going through this understanding about the same time I was and when I was seven we decided to get baptized as a family. That baptism marked the time for my family where my siblings and I gave our lives to Christ. From me and my brother’s relationship with Eric and Ryan our best friends at the time my mother got the idea to homeschool us. This was the best decision she could have made for our education. She dedicated so much work to our education in the form of programs and courses she prepared us to do work by ourselves. The curriculum put us ahead of what other kids were learning and taught us to be self-reliant. Being homeschooled allowed my mom to work in the message of the bible into our curriculum and teach us more about the Lord.
