When I started working for Senator Dean Heller, I realized I wanted to be a Foreign Officer but could not decide on what cone of emphasize to sign up for. Through him I was able to understand that I enjoy helping people resolve their issues, but I had a strong desire to be abroad. I believe many of the skills I have gained in this current job with Senator Dean Heller will transfer perfectly to this job, because I have been working with this part of immigration and handling with State Department since the first day I started working for the Senate. I have seen the benefits of the international tourist who come and go to Las Vegas, along with families being reunited after years of waiting for a residency card. I have been critical about the duties of a Consular Officer: screening visa applications, assisting with American citizens abroad, adoption assistance. Even under the worst of circumstances, I know I always want to be in a position of assistance. With my experience and my love for my country, I have realized that I would best serve my country and its citizens as a Consular Officer through the State
