I gained new insights about elementary education; I did not realize the teachers receive pressure from the government, state, principle, and the student’s parents. Also, the amount of time teachers put into their work, inside and outside of the classroom is far more than the average 40 hour work week.
I have learned that becoming a teacher requires responsibility; you have to remember that it is always about the children. It’s your duty to help them gain the knowledge that they need in order to move onto the next grade and to set a foundation for them to be successful in the future. No matter what happens during the day, teachers always have to make it a successful one in order for the students to learn everything they need in the school year. I will take the information and use it to the best of my ability; and hopefully be the best elementary school teacher that my students look up to.

Elementary education will allow me to fulfill my dreams of helping and impacting the lives of children; having the ability to show each student that I care and everyone is special and unique in their own way. Showing them they are important, that one person can be anything they want to be; seeing them develop; grow; and watching their faces light up when they accomplish their goals; will not only be rewarding to them, but will reward me in so many ways.
I am a person who is organized, loyal, responsible, and patient; the skills needed to be an elementary education teacher. Elementary schools teachers provide ideas to help children to learn, grow, and develop socially and mentally. My work values and support of others, relationships, recognition and achievements while helping others as they succeed are values that will help me become a teacher whom others look up
