Personal Narrative: Tell What You Know

Tell what you knew: My first day of high school seemed like the beginning of the end to me. I wasn’t really that popular, I didn’t really have the last name to fit in with the town of Marathon, and many other reason to be afraid of what might happen to me based on what I heard from others and just the plain fears. Most of my freshman year was just me trying to stay out of people 's way, with everything that has happened to me it seemed like every day was a battle to not get my head in the wrong spot. Along with that my grades weren’t the best either. I was lucky to get a B in most classes, most of the time class was the last place I really wanted to be that day along with the idea that I was never as good as the kids around me. I thought that …show more content…
The friends that I made may have changed everything that I thought about people, opened up a change for the best. The friends that I did make are because of what my interests and and also the sports that I played also. The life experiences that have really changed everything that had happened to me. Losing family members because of cancer and not see the other half of my family because they could really care less about us. Cancer is one of those things that you can control if you catch it fast enough. My grandma past away after beating two different cancers and dieing because of the third one which was hard to watch from my point of view. The other side of the family thing, I really have no idea what is going to happen because of the different opinions on why we don’t see each other that much or even when we do see them is why they happen to mention why we don’t talk. What I do outside of school has changed the way I am today being the mostly positive person I’m, sometimes I have the problem of letting unknown thought come into my head and create a problem for what seems like a long time which bugs me, but I have to realise sometime, bigger problem sometimes become the building block for the rest of my …show more content…
The friends that I have made have opened me up to see what I really haven’t seen at all. Kaden is a goofball most of the time, but he has really affected what had happened to life. In freshman year I really didn’t talk to him at all and he was a good friend back in middle school but freshman year I really didn’t do much to change me life so I kind of changed to way what had happened and to that effect I really didn’t make any friends or do much to keep the friends that were good to me. Sophomore year was a little different because I went out for football like I did in middle school. I should 've never took the year off, everything was way quicker, the game is way faster and practice is more of a fight because anyone at anytime can jump and take your spot you’ve earned. The year was hard, but with making friend that had been in football the year before did help me through the tough times I had. Kaden just keep my head in straight and created what I thought could be a good stepping stone. Junior year he went over to varsity and I was a special teamer this last year which got me some playing time and really created something to build on for this coming year. Kaden was the one guy who tried to get me out my comfort zone, and somewhat worked. I see this as a bigger stepping stone for what had happened to

As a child growing up in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the Union, the idea of a vast planet brimming with civilization and culture was more like something out of a fairy tale than it was reality. So, when my father announced that we would be leaving the country to go to Scotland, the home of his and my ancestors, my world began to expand at a rapid pace. This trip could not have been timed more perfectly. The summer of 2007 marked the end of fourth grade, my first year at Saint Mary Academy Bay View.…

Do you remember when you were a little kid and you had to climb on your counter-top to reach a cabinet? I remember it as if it was yesterday, maybe because it really was. All my life I have been dramatically smaller than all my peers. I have always been ostracized for the fact of my height which, in fact I have no jurisdiction over . I have always lived by the motto “Heart over height” in every aspect of life, and in every endeavor I encounter.…

In 2011, I entered high school and made a lifelong friend I would like to tell you about, his name was Josh Childs. We met in my freshman year of high school and became closer over the years. We remained friends outside of school and continued to be friends even after I graduated. The bond Josh and I had developed been simple, he was very motivational! For example, Josh was an amazing two year wrestler when I joined the wrestling team my freshman year.…

April 22nd, 2014, it was supposed to be like any other day for James. Wake up, eat breakfast, go to his job, return home to his family, sleep, rinse and repeat. It was like this for the longest time, day after day the same process; however, today would be different. James woke up, munched on donuts with coffee, and arrived to work with just a few minutes to spare despite needing to attend an early meeting. He was unable to remember; it seemed to be a trend lately and the boss certainly was not appreciating the lack of profession.…

This seemingly normal scenario, in which you find and develop new friendships that appear to be fated to end in the near distant future, always concluded with me facing a period of depression. Freshman year was filled with great memories for me. Our “friend group” of seven seemed to always have plans, such as: attending a movie, attempting to roller skate, or even helping each other with projects, but then during the summer before sophomore year, the feeling of hopelessness and sadness washed over me for the first time as I watched our group slowly drift apart. The devotion I had given to the group left me feeling empty, and without any idea of how to fix my problem, I found myself meandering through the passing days in malaise. In the meantime, an important event in my life was swiftly approaching; it was the day in which I would experience a vital epiphany.…

As I burrow down deep within the wild green grass, I look up at the enchanted wonderland, we call the sky. The only thing that protects me from the world and it’s night crawlers are the light that comes from the starry night and the omniscient moon. As I gaze upon the worlds true beauty and what it has to offer, I divulge into my sanity, “ I want to help people, whether they are senile or an adolescent, I want to be the helping hand people need.” I wanted to be the people’s “remedy.” Ever since I was in Elementary School, I have felt this hunger to help people.…

I’ve had many different friends in my life. I’ve had good and bad relationships. Friends that I grew apart from and others that ditched me because they simply just didn’t want to be my friend anymore. But all of those relationships, good and bad, have shaped who I am today and each have taught or showed me something different about friendship. For that reason all of the hurt, trials, and stress those relationships brought to my life was all worth it.…
