I was excited at first about the first day of school, but when I got there I was really nervous. I could not stop thinking about what if I do not make any friends? What will the other students be like? My first day of school was similar to August’s because I had never been to public school before either, and like him, I wondered what the other kids would be like.…
If at the end of my second day of school at Hill Crest, you were to ask me “Hey, what’s middle school like?” . I probably would have said that it was breeze, I was loving having more than one teacher and having that tiny little four minute breather in between classes. As far as the difficulty in my classes I wasn't having a problem at all. But, If you were to ask that same question now my answer might be a tad different. My response to your question would probably sound a little bit like this ; I really like it, but sometimes it gets on my nerves when i'm on one side of the building and have to go all the way to the other side and get my stuff for the next class, that little four minute period is absolute chaos now that I have different supplies…
I was kinda nervous the first day, but then I got used to it. I hated the uniforms because I loved wearing whatever I wanted, but it still it was kinda nice, just waking up and not trying to find something to wear. It also was the first year that I had to travel through the whole school, and my schedule was set up so none of my classes were by each other. At the end of the school year on of the teams went to the zoo for team day, but my team went bowling and to the tech center, I think that bowling was way better than going to the…
My first 6 weeks in Middle School have been great. So far It has been very fun and academic here. I have met new friends in 6th grade and 7th grade. We have talked about the Bible a lot, how we have a destiny and how God has plans for us. To know God more he will help me throughout the school year, he will help me have better listening skills, to have confidence in myself, to learn about the past.…
As I went to my first day of school in a new city I was nervous, I didn't know if I was going to make any new friends, if I was going to fit in. The first day began and I immediately met Randy and Byanca, little did I know at the time that they would be my friends for all of my school career. Time went by and so did the grade levels, I would always struggle with one subject and thrive in another. During my elementary and middle school years I would struggle in language arts and history, but I would thrive in mathematics mainly because I love numbers.…
Letter: To Ben Sladek The first day of school went pretty well. Not being freshmen really helps because at least I know what I’m doing. How do you feel about our new teachers?…
My lack of knowledge of the language was one of my biggest challenges. Also, I did not know anyone in the United States, except for my family members at home, so it was really hard for me to make new friends. At Kealing Middle School, my very first day of eighth grade was the hardest day of my life. Everything was different: the language, the signs on the walls, the building, the food, the teachers, the classes, and especially the people around the school. The environment was crowded, and everyone seemed to be happy except for me.…
I began school at Valdosta middle school and I had a pretty rough time I was very shy at first but been that I use to visit for the summer I knew a few people at the school and so I got to meet new people thorough them but many people didn’t like me. I was very short shinny and had eczema all over kids would pick because they thought I had something contagious so they wouldn’t talk to me or touch me things had touched. It was very difficult until I got a little thicker and got treatment for my eczema, but get thicker created other problems.…
Even though I was nervous, I was also excited to experience something new. First day of school arrived. The distance from the parking lot to the main entrance seemed like a four mile marathon. Once we arrived to the main entrance and walked in the main office to meet the counselor to pick up my class schedule, my mom left and I felt more lost than ever. She was the only one in the family that was fluent in English and she was my translator.…
Short shorts. Short shorts as far as the eye can see. This is what I saw all over ETSU’s beautiful campus as I went one day without my cell phone. Initially, I thought nothing much would come out of the seemingly uninteresting assignment, but I was mistaken. It proved to be an eye-opening day, mostly because I saw how much students were on their phones, I learned that I am terrible at telling time, and I can now cope with my social anxiety instead of jumping to my phone.…
When coming into middle school a lot of people are really scared what’s gonna happen. Middle school is scary at first when you come as 6th grader but, usually you have to get used to people and also participating in other things in your school. But usually you have to explore middle school a little bit and even trying new things for yourself and being happy. But if you're gonna be sad when you enter middle school things are gonna be hard for you when you come to middle school. When you're coming to middle school your always gonna get lots of homework.…
“Wake up,” my mom said. Then she politely tapped my shoulder. It was 6:00 am, and it would be my first day of middle school in the United States. Months before my dad had taken us from Mexico to Paramount a small city in Los Angeles County “I don’t want to go” I said to my mom,” you have to go that ’s why we came here for.”…
Alford, Liam Per. #4 9-15-15 Personal Statement #2 First Draft I was blind the whole time. Didn’t see it coming. My parents had brought it to my attention for nearly 9 months, but I never though that it was actually happening.…
Hayden Baron Tuesday, March 13 I had a great day today. It was the first day of school after Thanksgiving break, but I like almost all of my classes and have friends in all of them. Also, the track coach keeps telling me how much he wants me on the team! My dad encourages my running of multiple miles every day and loves watching me run. As I said earlier, I like MOST of my classes but not all of them.…
It was the end of summer and the beginning of fall. Mornings were chilly not too cold just enough to wear a light sweater; you could feel the cool breeze coming in waiting to settle in for the season. When the afternoon came you could feel the warmth of summer still lingering in the air. With the beginning of fall coming in it also meant that there was another new school year that would start. This new school year was even more special than the other school years because this was the year an old school that’s been there for 106 years was going to be re-modeled, and it was also my senior year.…
