Trul Winery Case Study

After going through the first 11 senses of FLIGBY, I am excited to see how the game will continue and how well I do with it. I will admit however, in the very beginning before starting this game I wasn’t sure what I would get out of it or how it would benefit me. Once all the introduction stuff was over and I actually got into making real decisions is when the game became fun and made we want to continue to see how well I can do. Now after playing it, I can see this is going to teach me a lot and be of value to me later in life once I start my career. I already has gone to show me there are always going to be those few people in the work place who don’t seem to get along regardless of the circumstances and you have to just let it go and not …show more content…
After talking with each one of them and learning about other issues among the group of employees and their feelings about my old predecessor, I feel reconsidering who works for Turul Winery might be in the best interest of the company. After all that is my main goal and the reason they brought me in as the new GM and if you don’t like my decisions or how I plan to run this company, maybe you aren’t fit to work for here anymore. I do plan on keeping all of my current employees that I have, besides a few that have raised red flags since the very beginning in their introduction videos or even when I sat down with them one on one. I think there are certain areas of the winery that are going to need considerable amount of reconsideration as many of the employees seemed over worked and need more help. My main goal here is going to try to restore the company back to how it used to be and hopefully employ more people to help relieve our current staff of the pressure. If I can gain all the employees trust and show them I really care about this company, I think I will do just fine as their new GM. I know it won’t be an easy road, but it will be worth it all in the …show more content…
Over the last year my dad’s company has had a GM who wasn’t doing his job like he should be and so on. Within the last 4 months they got a new GM who seems to be making a lot of changes to better the company, which has a lot of people worried. My dad has been an employee for over 30+ years with this company so we have seen quite a few changes happen. With some of them being great and some that weren’t so great. The reason I find this so interesting is because I feel like some of the situations I’ve dealt with in the game are ones the new GM has had to deal with at my dad’s company. I do have to say it is going to be a long road before things get better for him, as the last GM lost track and just let people do whatever they wanted or make decisions on their own. A lot of the employees have commented how it’s not the place they are used to working at and so on, which is very similar to FLIGBY. I was just surprising to me that there are other companies out there that have gone through the same trouble and are now trying to restore it, when it could possibly be too late to go back to how it used to be. All the new employees or positions they have created are crazy to me and I hope the new GM can restore it the best he can. I used to love going to dad’s office and seeing what he would do or even helping him on the weekends, but

An Analysis of Culture Change at Ford Motor Company When reflecting on the history of Ford Motor Company, the name Henry Ford is synonymous with the success of the company. Henry Ford created a culture of innovation and creativity (Brady & Haley, 2013), and also one in which he doubled workers’ wagers to further highlight them as valuable assets to the company (Harnish, 2012). However, by 2006, the culture that Henry Ford created had drastically changed and the company was facing potential bankruptcy. To recreate the once powerful culture of Ford, Alan Mulally was brought in as CEO to overcome the dysfunctional culture and was able to prevent the company’s downfall (Brady & Haley).
