Introduction Over the course of this semester I was able to experience one on one time with a variety of different students. In this essay I will be discussing many different experiences I had with my students while completing my field service hours at Walnut Grove High School. I also built a good relationship with my field advisor, while being in the classroom I was able to learn so many different things that I would have never learned if I had not had this experience. Just like all the others, this semester went by quickly so I wanted to make sure I soaked up as much information and different tools in teaching that I could. Completing 20 hours of field service hours this semester was extremely beneficial for my future as a teacher and I will discuss why throughout this essay.

Walnut Grove High School is currently six years old; the school is in pristine condition and has wonderful teachers that teach there. I was in a variety of grade levels but all were math, just depended on the time I was there. Justin Herring was the teacher and my field advisor throughout the semester. The class that I observed and assisted throughout the semester had an average number of about 22-26 students. The students’ ages ranged from 15-18 depending on which class time I was attending. The genders of the students were very much even in ratio comparing boys to girls. I noticed that more girls were counted as absent though on most days, the boys were usually present most of the
