The 1876 World’s Fair held in Philadelphia welcomed people almost 10 million visitors. At this Centennial Exhibition, celebrating 100 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, American inventions such as the monorail and Alexander Graham Bell 's telephone were first viewed by the public. This was a monumental point in the U.S’s history and set us apart as the leaders in innovation. If we are not coming up with new ideas and contributing to the rest of the world it becomes harder and harder to have the unity and pride that a healthy country needs. It is through its innovative tendencies that America became what it is today. Keeping the goal of growth in its sights, there is nothing America can’t accomplish.
The United States has all the tools necessary to be great, all it has to do is use them. America is an inspiring country, but it can be better. Abraham Lincoln’s vision for America was “of a place and a time where America will once again be seen as the last best hope of earth.” This is my vision
