While we do that my dad and brother go for a swim in the hotels pool. When you drive through Nags Head you will immediately notice there are more than several “Wings” stores. So of course, like every beach trip me and my mom must head there to pick up some OBX t-shirts and the usual knick knacks. We go to a couple of different places before going into a quaint beach shack. They have all sorts of unique items for sell, like sea glass jewelry in shades of blues and greens, driftwood sculptures, and sea turtle figurines made of sand. I could wonder around in amazement looking at the items on display all day. Places like that to me are hidden gems, they make a trip to the beach even more special. After a long day of shopping it is time for me and mother to head back to the hotel and eat some dinner. Me and my mom like to lay out and soak up some sun. The sun shines so bright but it is not nearly as hot as it would seem. I sit in my chair with my feet in the sand and just relax and let my senses take over. I feel the cool breeze and the grainy sand beneath my feet, I listen to the waves crashing and the seagulls flying overhead, I smell the saltiness of the water, and I look out into the deep blue waters and see boats on the horizon and all around me children are running up and down building sand castles in the sand. I rise from my chair and walk out into the hot sand and go on a little walk. On my walk, I look for seashells in all kinds of different shape, colors, and textures. Then I stand at the oceans edge and feel the cool water and sink into the wet sand. When the tide returns into the sea it feels as though they are trying to pull me with them, however they do not
