The first time I went hunting was with my uncle danny out at my uncle don's farm when i was about six or seven. I remember it like it was yesterday we were in a pop up blind in the top of a creek bed spraying apple spray to have them come. We then waited about four to five hours, and a hundred twenty five pound doe came into the creek bed. My uncle stood up aimed and shot it. Then we dragged it out with a deer cart, and field dressed it in the corn field.
It was fun because me and my uncle were like brothers and we did everything together. He would take me out hunting, and the first time I went I wasn't really into it but when I finally got to shoot it became my favorite thing to do. It was so fun something I wanted to do and look forward to doing. Mostly because i was with my uncle and we always had a great time hunting. Plus being out in the woods is the best time ever it's quiet no one is bothering you. There are no rules in the woods other than pick your trash up.

Fishing alone isn't to fun sometimes unless you're upset or pissy and don't wanna be bothered by anyone but fishing you usually want to have some people with you or it will get boring. I am a very simple person i don't mess with anyone i'm quiet i'm you try to fight me i'm not gonna let that go but i'm a very chill person and i don't like confrontation so i have my friends that i go out huntin and fishin with and yea we have some problems but most of the time it's very chill and fishing usually helps us bond and get closer and be really good friends. But fishing and hunting really helps that so i love

Having lived in North Carolina for all of my life I am no stranger to southern culture. A large part of southern culture is hunting and I have been participating in that popular pastime since I was a little boy. Throughout history and in all different cultures around the globe one of the challenges that a boy must face in order to become a man is going on his first hunt, and making a kill. This shows that he is able to supply and support his family with food if need be. My dad began taking me deer hunting when I was about six or seven; I wasn’t allowed to actually carry a gun yet though.…

Sadly, we couldn’t get a shot because it was still way too dark but it definitely got my adrenaline going. That was the exact moment I knew I was going to love hunting. When we finally got to the stand, I crawled up the ladder and sat down on the seat that my dad had provided for me, anxiously waiting for my time to prove that I really could be a hunter. I set my .270 in the corner and sat there patiently waiting for the sun to rise. Watching the sun rise over the horizon was breathtaking.…

My First Deer One brisk 30 degree day in January, when I was nine years old, was a day for which I was extremely excited. My dad got me out of school earlier that day, so we could go deer hunting. I had already shot a turkey the year before, so guns were nothing new to me. We made a quick stop at my house so that we could pick up the .243 youth edition, a really short barreled .243, that my dad had bought just about a month before so that we could go hunting, and I would actually be able to handle the gun. At this point we did not have the hunting land that we do today, so we went to my grandpa’s house and hunted in the clearing of trees behind his house.…
