The book my class read was called “ My favorite chaperone.” The author is Jean Davies Okimoto. The theme of “ My favorite chaperone” is family supports each other. The setting was school, there house, and America. The conflict was that Maya wanted permission to go to a school dance. “My favorite chaperons” mood was exciting. The falling action was when mama gives her a braclet and when Maya goes to the dance an dances with Daniel. The climax was when Nurzahn says he has a plan to get Maya to the dance. Then the resolution was when she is in bed thinking too her self about opportunities in America for her an her family. In conclusion the theme is family supports each other.
