My Father's Song Analysis

Poetry is an art, but instead of being on a canvas it’s on paper. A poem could be interpreted in many different ways. It all depends on the perspective. For example, a poem about a father doing everything in his power to give his children the best life could be view in a couple of ways. Some people view it as the children are taking advantage of the father, others view it as the children are still young and need him, or it’s the father’s duties to take care of the family (viewed as masculine). The interpretations will come from different perspectives of how it could be interpreted. In the poem, “My Father’s Song” by Simon J. It could also refer to it being life lessons throughout his life. The title of this poem “My Father’s Song” is not really a song, but the knowledge past down. The beginning of the poem seems sentimental, which means he wishes he still has his father to continue on his song. He could possibly be nostalgic about his father and is saying his point of view on what he clearly remembers. The reader could see in a way that they could connect because they wish for the same thing to happen.
The summary of this poem could be viewed as how the son is missing the memories of the past. The father played a strong effect on the emotions of his son. Someone could view it is how growing up and having responsibility come from life lectures. It is a story within a story being told about someone else, and how without a certain person there life would be
