Personal Narrative Essay: Fixing The Fence

One early morning on my father 's farm, my dog, Jethro and I were out fixing the fence that had been mysteriously destroyed the night before, unaware what had destroyed the fence I had decided to brace it up a bit making sure it wouldn 't be as easy to break again. After I finished fixing the fence, Jethro and I went up to the house to get lunch. I made two peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, one for him and one for me along with a glass of milk for the both of us. After we had finished, I went into my father 's old bedroom. When he was alive he had collected firearms and had tons of them, so I sat there for a bit just wishing him and my mother were still alive. I decided to drive straight to her house, if I lost her there would be no reason to be on this earth anymore. I had pulled in her driveway and everything looked to be normal. I walked up to the front door but it wasn 't all the way shut, I quickly walked in to see if she was there and at first glance I hadn 't yet seen her. I sat down to think and I then heard crying coming from upstairs. When I walked upstairs she had locked herself in the bathroom. The moment I called her name she know who it was. She packed the things she held close, old birthday cards from her dad, pictures of her family living together and happy, and the necklace I had given her after the accident. It was a surprise to me when she packed the necklace in her pack, I didn’t think she would cherish as much as I did but I was clearly wrong. When she finished packing, we made sure we could get to the truck as safe as possible. Emmie was about to get in the truck when out of nowhere, a zombie tried to attack her. I grabbed my loaded forty-four off my hip and shot the zombie as fast as I could without hitting her, she fell to the ground and I thought I had just shot her.
