A life-changing moment does not occur for everyone. Luckily, I was fortunate enough to have experienced a moment that changed me forever. When I was growing up, I always looked for a deeper meaning for my life. My father is a doctor so, I always wanted to help people but not medically. Not everyone can change the world, but deep down I wanted to find a way to. Joining The United States Army was the best and most life altering decision I have ever made.

After the test, I went through the process and April 2014 I officially enlisted in the United States Army. The feeling that overcame me was unexplainable. Just being able to say I was part of the greatest fighting force in the world was incredible. Basic training was one of the best parts of my ever life changing experiences with the US Army. I was able to meet some great people from all over the country. Most of which are great friends that I don’t ever want to lose. I was able to do things that people could only dream of doing in training. I am not a part of that group. Instead, I am a part of the .4 percent of Americans actively protecting this country by serving in the armed forces. Joining the Army changed me for the better. It gave me a different outlook on life. I carry myself with an honor, dignity, and discipline that most twenty-year-olds do not have. It has been said that if you find a job you love, you 'll never work a day of your life. That is how I feel about being a soldier. I enjoy what I do to the point that I don 't see it as work. Joining the Army taught me many valuable life lessons. I know when I move on to my next life experience, I will have a lot to take away from my military service. Raising my right hand and pledging to defend our great nation had a huge impact on my life. It made me who I am
