My Father Came To America Analysis

Summary of the article
This is a simple story about a family who came to America from Palestine. They came to America for a better life and avoid war in their country. Like most of American, they were getting ready for a new school year. The father in this story was a man who working so hard to bring his family to America. He was an educated man but sometime feel insecure about his English. He expected his children will go to well-schools and become well-educated people. The daughter was a teenager girl who wants to be a historian when she grows up. She didn’t want to go shopping in a cheap store. She didn’t know how hard her parents have been through to give her a better life. And the two little sons who didn’t realize, that they were Palestine Americans.
This story is an argument between two generations; who have different life experience; about future life.

This story is easy to get refugees attention. This funny story is an argument between father and daughter about the future career. It also showed how people who speaking English as a second language feeling in their daily life. And the last thing about this story is people who have different life experience recognize the value of life in different way. In my opinion, I thinks we; young generation; should appreciate what our ancestor has done for us, and try to build up a better life for the next
