My own strengths in my job are:
The areas at which I think I am most strong and that I know I can deliver really well is communication skills. Communication is important as it can help you with the verbal communication, managing conflict and other issues at which you will get whilst doing your job, dealing with clients and also talking to workers, being able to communicate with them and to get through the work that must be done as soon as possible.

Decision-making and judgement is important in this role because as a project manager, you should be able to come with alternatives, considering the pros and cons of what you are going to do. Last but not least, you must be committed to the decision you have made, also being aware of the consequences

However, I have recognized that this style of management is not conducive to everyone feeling as though they have as equal stake in the success of the project, thus I am working to step back and let the other stakeholders take more initiative.

Job description:
The average annual salary in this industry in the UK is £42,000. The median income for Construction Project Managers nationwide is about £40,000, however, and salaries cap at about £65,000. Today, there are just ten women in every 100-construction project management positions in the UK. Entry-level positions pay around £30,000 while pay typically increases to around £50,000 after a decade of experience in the role.

The main job duty as a project manager is that you must deliver the projects on time within the budget that you were given at the beginning of the project. Project managers are skilled at getting the best out of the people and projects that they oversee. They thrive when planning projects and working with project teams.
You will normally work a 40 hour week Monday to Friday however the range of jobs that project managers do means that there is no typical day and a lot will depend on how your employer

The topics in which I would have to roughly cover are the following: Building Services Engineering 2, Built Asset Management, Contract Administration and Law 2, Dissertation, Organisational Management, Project Evaluation and Development and Project Management 2. Adding to these studies, they will also tell us to spend our time in the industry. This is a bit like work experience.

This would be a boost for me for when I want to apply for a job because I have already done a few experiences from big construction companies and I did it last year as well. By doing it this year as well, it can provide me with the better chance and opportunity to get enrolled to a job. Hopefully with a good construction company and following to this, I would like to then build my reputation and skills in my job with a good company.

In this year, I was able to graduate at the University of Kingston. This was a big achievement for me as I had finally got my degree in project management. It was now time to apply for a job. I got really lucky because I did a couple of work experience with the company of Mace. I was able to get in but things were not easy. Since I was a rooky at this job, I was not really given big responsibilities to do and therefore I was more of an assistant project manager.
