What Value Do You Consider To Be The Most Important To You

Improved Essays
1. The first value I consider to be the most important is being a good wife and mother. I am about five years older than most of my classmates, and I am looking to start my family before I turn thirty. I am engaged to be married in June of this year with my fiancé. We have been together for nine years and we are both mentally ready to take that next step towards getting married and eventually starting a small family. It is very important to be to make sure I am the type of wife my husband wants and needs and the type of mother my children can grow up to admire. Traits like showing compassion, devotion, and effort towards my family, while always remembering to put my family values first.
2. The second value of importance is maintaining and demanding respect for myself. This value is geared more towards my professional career. As I slowly climb the corporate ladder, I catch myself questioning what I think I is acceptable to be said to me or about me from my colleges

My fourth value of importance entails maintaining a positive and healthy body image. It may seem cliché but I want to look good so I can feel great. Being in good physical fitness is more important than just looking good in a swimsuit. With graduation and my wedding approaching so quickly I want to look as good as I feel in the inside. I have always had struggles with my weight, even in childhood and at some point, it got out of control. However, now that I am taking major steps towards rectifying the issue I feel like nothing can hold me back. As stated in my first value of importance being a good wife and mother is most important but it also coincides with living a positive healthy lifestyle. I want to consider my family to be healthy and in good fitness which means it has to start with myself and my fiancé. This value hold so much sentiment to me because it’s more than just physically looking good I want to live a long prosperous life and I need to take certain steps in order to achieve that

A quote from the textbook this week I have selected is: Values are the deeply held convictions that influence your thinking when you are faced with choices. (Sukiennik 37)I choose this quote because, I believe that people deal with this on a daily bases. Like advertising, its set up by a corporation and their values to influence the person to buy their product. For example a beauty product can alter a person's opinion about themselves give the people a choice over a cheap imitation product or a product that will last but more expensive. But in reality it all depends on a person values on their decision on making that choice whether they want to buy an expensive product that may cost them 50 dollars or buy cheap imitation that will cost 10 dollars but, doesn't last that long.…
