During Thanksgiving break, I was able to take my family to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. While some of the aspects of Disney culture is sanitized, the experience of seeing art work and “tasting” food from other cultures was interesting. (As a side note, I did find some of the African food to be spicy, I would hate to see how truly spicy African dish would taste.) My favorite restaurant on the Disney property was “Boma,” this was an African inspired restaurant located at Disney’s Animal Kingdoms Lodge. I am not a big meat eater but I found the Ghanian Oxtail Stew to be delicious, which I was not going to try because of the name. I am glad that our server suggested it.
