I come from a Mexican family that is extremely traditional. I was the first female in my entire family to graduate from high school, my great-grandmother, my grandmother, and my mother all got pregnant at the age of fifteen, along with all their sisters. I remember when I walked across the stage what an accomplishment I felt. I have three young daughters who are my life, and I adore them. As I have gotten older, I shriek to think of all the moral corruption that is around us. My two younger sisters also got pregnant, one got pregnant at the age of fifteen, and the other at the age of eighteen. I want my daughters to see me get my college degree and to see me lead by example, and follow in my footsteps.

The value that is having my degree to me will allow me to have a voice, and be able to express my opinions. I have worked with teachers that don’t always know how to approach children in the proper manner. For example: screaming at a child that comes from an abusive home. The child will only react defensively and shut others out. Sometimes with our students we are the only signs of love and affection that they will ever receive in their lives. So as educators we have to know how to approach properly children. Do to the fact that I am just an aide we have to abide by what our supervising teacher tells us. With my degree as I observe a student, I will be able an analysis and know the proper teaching style for the individual in the manner that will be more effective for his/her …show more content…
Every time I feel like I want to quit I will look at them and say “God, please give me the straight so that I can provide a better life for my daughters than what I had.” I want to be able to get my job as a teacher so that I can be with my girls on holidays, and vacations. I need to get my degree so that I can be a better provider, and we can have stability. I know that even though my daughters are young they will-will need college money sooner than I think. I don’t want to have to tell them as my mother did me, “Mija, I just don’t have the money for you to go to college.” I had never cried so much in my life, and I need to give my girls the support that they will need both financially and emotionally. I know my struggle and sacrifice today will be their success

Personal Philosophy I believe that all children are unique and bring their own knowledge and experiences to any educational environment. I believe the early childhood environment is a place for children to be free agents to; develop, learn, grow and express themselves, while having the confidence and respect they as a person are entitled to. Furthermore I also belie that all children have the right to learn and their learning be abundant with experiences, knowledge and quality, as well as feeling a sense of belonging to their community and learning environment. These beliefs are important to my teaching and my philosophy of early childhood eduction.…

Introduction What are the opportunity costs of not providing an excellent early education? Even though the importance of early childhood learning may appear obvious to everyone who has witnessed the effortlessness with which growing up multilingually helps children to speak multiple languages fluently later in life, the beginning of children’s efforts in public education are somehow vague; some children do not visit even pre-school, others already start out learning in pre-kindergarten. This text will act as a point of reference about the opportunity cost of not providing an excellent childhood education, or conversely, the external benefits of educating someone else’s children. It will serve as a contributing source to the ongoing societal discussion about how much education is necessary to create an informed society and to embolden individual children to find their own way in life, which requires a basic level of education.…

A recent study on social and emotional risk and protective factors that predict early school problems or success found that "children who do not begin kindergarten socially and emotionally competent are often not successful in the early years of school—and can be plagued by behavioral, emotional, academic, and social development problems that follow them into adulthood (U.S Department of Health and Human Services). " Creating a positive social relationship is an important outcome of preschool, possibly more important is avoiding social isolation. Research shows that it is possible to predict as early as preschool the kind of children who will have social and academic problems, because they are already either overlooked or casted off by other children. To develop positive social relationships it is important to build relationships with parents so that children feel safe, secure, and comfortable with their teachers. Provide opportunities for children to work and play together.…

Early Childhood Education Early childhood education is always a big issue, deciding whether or not to send your kids away or if it would be beneficial to a young child who is still dependent on you as a parent. The advanced skills your child would be learning as they grow up and develop new skills such as social and motor skills. “What we know about children is that their work is to play,” says Patsy Ward.
