We get along best when we’re joking or poking fun at each other. He doesn’t like to admit it, but Paul can be a very sensitive person. I like being able to banter with him while still having serious conversations every so often. My brother’s long term girlfriend Chelsey is basically part of the family too. She was there to help take care of my mom, and spends plenty of time with Kristy and me. She’s ridiculously generous and kind, and she’s a great listener. I consider her my sister. My oldest sister Mary is nine years older than me and lives in the next town over with her husband Matt. Mary and I are very similar in personality; we’re both strong headed and love a good debate. Even though we don’t talk as much as I do with my other siblings, Mary has probably taught me the most in life, whether she knows it or not. I look up to her because she has a job she enjoys, a lovely house, and a great relationship with Matt. I hope that I will be as successful as her. Mary’s husband Matt is the clown of the family. We have very different opinions on social matters, and that can cause problems between us. But when we’re not battling it out about presidential candidates, we enjoy each other’s company. My dad seems to know everything about everything. He’s smart in history, geography, the economy, religion, and he can fix almost any piece of machinery. He even knows a fair bit of Spanish. I used to take for granted how much he knows, but growing up I realized that not everyone is as wise or sensible as he is. My dad is where I got most of my common sense and real-world knowledge, as well as a few stupid dad
