The genogram illustrated below describes my most immediate family members, consisting of four generations. I chose to include my family ties most relevant to this reflection. My father’s parents passed away before I was born. Now I am left with only my grandma, as her husband passed away in May 2017 from bile duct cancer. After completing the structure, I noticed that the entirety of my genogram has not experienced any marital separation or divorce, I believe this indicates my family values loyalty in a relationship. The only conflictual relationships are with Brock and Ryan as well as Brock and my dad, due to some of Brock’s behaviors and actions. My parents are both part of the Baby Boomers generation and have been married for about 33 years.
