When discussing the topic with my grandmother, you could see it in her eyes. The smile she had remembering all the fun times she had as child, and how our life turned out. It was like entering this flashback of memories. We first discussed about her parents, and how she was raised. My grandmother was raised by her mother and father. Her father had past away a very long time ago, but her mother had past away here recently at the age of hundred and three years old. Her family was very church oriented. To think that my grandmother was around when it occurred. I had then asked about technology. "Well first of all we used paper and pencil," she giggled " typewriters was a big thing, now you hardly see them, and another thing that has changed dramatically is telephone" (R. Ross). She explained how they use to be this huge block, with a long antenna, or how the house phones had a the dial you spin. She came to say she hasn 't seen those in a while. Another big thing we discussed was how things have changed. She explained, "Not as many people work now a days like they used to, every body had to work, it was the only to pay the bills and feed the children. I started working at a very young age, and there are people out there who could care less about getting a job" (R. Ross). Another thing he mentioned was how roles have changed. " When I was younger watching my mother and even myself when I became an adult, our roles was to not only take of our children, but our husbands who acted like children," she chuckled. "Now a days, women take care of themselves, not there husbands, this is one of
