These values also taught the people in family the knowledge when it comes to deal with various life challenges and issues, such as sexuality. Last but not least, my family’s stand on sex topics are still firmed over the years, despite how our society has become more open toward sexuality issues. Unlike other families, the topic of sex is still considered a taboo in our family and that we don’t usually talk about it during family dinner or any of the family meet up, because whenever the topic of sex is brought up, there will always be someone who get upset about it, especially my grandfather. This is why we just avoid this topic altogether. This was such a great project for me to do, because it helped me realized how important family can be when it comes to dealing with problems, such as divorce and domestic violence. However, as I became more mature, I realized that the word ‘’No’’ is very simple and easy to say, regardless of what kind of situation I’m in. Nowadays, in order to have a more healthy relationship, I tried to be more respectful of my partner because everyone deserve the right to deny something they don’t want to do. As far as what values I hold about sexuality, I tend to think that sexuality is a natural and healthy process of living, and that all sexual decisions have effects and consequences. In addition, I believe that the key to any healthy relationship included honesty, responsibility and social acceptance. And last but not least, we, as a society should have no discrimination on the basis of sex alone and that sexual relationship should never be coercive or exploitative if you are cared about the person you are
