My Fall Semester

Decent Essays
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond, my life has been very hectic. You are very right in saying that freshman year is in the rear view mirror. This fall semester went very well. I made the deans list again, which is alwasy rewarding because I strive and dedicate myself to my school work. I am also at the status of a junior after this last semester as well. Even though I was very busy with school, I still kept my job and worked as much as I could. I paid for my fall semseter all on my own with the money I made over the summer and it is a good feeling. Even though I know I will have debt to pay in my future but its the little accomplishments that count right now. I also did some other activities I was invovled in the trick or treat for cans

For the past year, I could only provide an indefinite answer to a frequently asked question, How was your freshman year? In fact, those of us who experienced our freshman year could be addressed as “college veterans” will never initiate a conversation with regard to the past year. Perhaps they consider that the freshman year was not as consummate as they initially planned. I cannot judge my first year in college was successful or frustrating, but I feel I benefited from the meritorious experiences and practical knowledge gained from my college life. In my opinion, no matter what goals one wishes to achieve in college, whether its grade, love, health, or sense of accomplishment, one has to be prepared for both failures and…

Hi Leandro, Do you remember me? Sorry I haven't written sooner. It has been two years since we last met at the music presentation. I've been really busy in a good way - and a bad too. I stopped with guitar classes because I haven't had time to do work of school, study and practice.…

In the Spring of last year, it was my Junior year, one of the most critical years in high school. It’s the year that colleges look at the most, also it was the year that I was in some of the most challenging classes. Mostly honors, a lot of homework, and tests to go along with it. Studying would take me until late at night, and even on weekends, all day long. When it’s the end of the term everyone checks their grades for their report cards, and progress reports.…

I have three weeks left of my freshman year, and so far this year has been quite the journey. Although, the journey has kind of sucked if I’m being honest. High school has been alright, but middle school was way better. I miss the nice teachers, the roll schedule, and much more. The classes have been easy this year, but I would prefer a challenge rather than just easy work to keep us busy.…

The first quarter of second semester is going really well. In the beginning of January, I got accepted into my first choice college, Sonoma State University, which makes me feel euphoric. I will be majoring in Criminology/Criminal Justice and it is an impacted major, but my very good GPA and ACT scores got me into it. I am very excited for what is to come, once school starts, in August. The campus has aspects of beauty ubiquitously placed all around.…

MTV created a television episode, following three students in their first semester of college. I can relate slightly to all three students, but related to Jolisa more than the others in the episode. Jolisa was moving out of her state to go to college and struggled finding money to support herself. She also had relationship problems with her boyfriend. Though I did not move out of state to go to college, I still face financial and relationship struggles; even if they are not all romantically.…

Time flies. My first semester as a freshman has ended. In my view, this is the most tiring semester I have ever had, because I have to stay up late and get up at seven o’clock; meanwhile, this is the most amazing semester I have ever had for the fantastic people I have met so far. Before I come to this class, my strength lay in reading, analyzing and understanding articles. I could always grasp the central idea of the article precisely, which is a gift inherited from my mother.…

I did the best I could, especially when it came to the honor and AP classes I took. I barely passed the classes I had taken, but I was able to pass 2 out of the 3 AP tests. During the last few months of school, I got hired at Sea World San Diego. I didn’t want to spend the entire summer doing nothing. I started working full time in May 2013 and I worked until I left for basic training in September 2013.…
