What Does Faith Mean To Me

Improved Essays
In my life at this moment there are a lot of things that I need to have faith with such as to who I should date and marry, what major I should have and whether or not I should continue to go to school here at BYU-Idaho. I feel like that I should make a plan and stick to it because if it is a bad plan then the Lord will let me know if it will hurt me. Sometimes we need to be doing or going towards a goal before the Lord will let us know if we are on the right path. The main change that I thought of is to stick to a plan and unless acted upon to keep to that plan and have faith that everything will work out.

On one of the insights I asked people what they have done to grow their faith? I got some really good answers but one really stood out

The attribute that I 've been working on is faith and I really believe especially after watching this video when we serve and put others first the Lord will take care of us. When I serve other not only will it help me feel better about myself but I truly believe that when I do that God will grant more of an understanding of why things may be happening in our life which will strengthen our faith in God in his plan. When we follow Christ and do what he did in his life we will progress in all aspects of our lives whether it be temporal or …show more content…
Most of the things that came to me were the small and simple things that really make a big difference in our lives. I really have been focusing on scripture study and prayer because those two have so much impact on your life especially prayer because with prayer you have direct communication to the Father. Something else that I also thought about was going to the temple. I am lucky enough to have a temple close to home at school and also where my family lives but unfortunately I haven 't gone as much as I should and have made a goal to make more time for the temple. The temple is a place for us to go not only to receive revelation but come closer to God and when we do that we can better align our ways with

After rereading Tina Housers’ book and identified which principles were my strengths and my weaknesses, I took the time to carefully think over and pray about these four principles. The principles in the book that I found to be strengths of mine included: laughs and participates as a team player. The two principles I found in the book that I need to improve on were; pointing others to Jesus and administrates meetings efficiently. Sixth grade for was one of my most difficult years of my life so far for a few reasons. First off, sixth grade was my first year of middle school, meaning a whole new school, new school system with class schedules, lockers, multiple teachers, and having passing periods were all new concepts for me to grasp as a kid. More importantly however, the second reason sixth grade was so difficult for me was that over the summer leading to that school year, me and my family left the Catholic church that my mom’s family had been going to for about a hundred years or so, and it was a completely different environment for our entire family because we spent the entire summer up to the first week of school looking for a new church in our area, going to a new…

When we give ourselves to Him, He trusts that we will continue to follow Him no matter what lies ahead. But when we do get off course, He will show us the way back. The reason why I am saying this is because I was once lost, but God helped me find my way back and in every detail, He was there—I was able to find Him, and the moment I did He turned my life around by showing me what I was created for. My calling is to lead worship and help those who are lost.…

How My Faith Defines Who I Am Faith: having a strong belief in a religion, or an even stronger belief in a God. I personally believe in God the Father, and that he created each and every one of us in his own image. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sin and brought us new life through his death and resurrection. In my faith I stand as a Catholic, which means I believe in only one God. However, God is three persons, also known as the Holy Trinity, meaning there is the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.…
