My Happiest Moment Essay

With pain comes strength, C 'est la vie. I have always been the type to dwell on the past. If I am not scrolling through old pictures and videos, I am shuffling in my drawer looking for my pink polka dotted photo album. So many unpleasant looking photos but some are my most happiest moments. Memories can be unsettling at times. Although most of the pictures are of me, all I see are strangers. Looking more carefully and thinking back those are indeed strangers because comparing them to now. I no longer know who they are or how their lives are now. In the photograph I can see my head peaking way in the back. I laughed to myself, knowing the person I am now I would never be caught dead in the back of a group picture.I always have to be front and center. A 4th grade class picture of 19 students, who back then I knew oh too well and pinky promised we would all be friends forever. I can only recall five names; knowing their name is not the problem …show more content…
We were so excited the night before and nearly packed our whole closet. The second we step foot in the car the excitement died. Hours of looking at trees can really kill a spirit but a real friendship always seem to balance the bad in life and make it better. There are some people that make you laugh a bit louder, smile a bit bigger, and help you be just a bit better than you were yesterday, back then she was always that person. The way we posed like statue brought an unexpected smile we literally took hundreds of pictures that day. I can still smell the beignets we ate that day ,the powder was smeared all over our face and clothes. All those memories are starting to slowly fade as we spend more time apart. I have never been the type to keep friends for very long. Although it 's very unintentional I have a tendency of pushing people away before they get a chance to leave or hurt

Ariyonna Underwood As one ages, one starts to become their own person, figuring things out for oneself and becoming more independent. But as for me, I was a very shy, quiet, and stay-to-myself kind of person. I didn’t like being around a lot of people or just doing nothing. When times got hard I would listen to my music and just be in my own little world. I would bottle up all my emotions and not tell anybody anything.…

Hi Ema, I really enjoyed your post as you gave a really good insight as to what a true long-term friendship is. It's amazing that your friendship with her lasted so long and is still going on. I'm glad that although you two drifted apart you were able to connect again. I had a friend I was really close to when I was younger while I was in middle school and we stayed friends until the beginning of college when we drifted apart as we had different outlooks. I haven't spoken to her since then but I'm really glad although you guys got separated again in high school you were able to maintain your friendship going.…

In a world of digitally edited photography and Photoshop masters, Polaroid pictures have once more become a trend. The instantaneous image of life unabridged appeals because it refuses to portray life through any rose-colored or edited lens, instead allowing memory to appreciate the sanctity of returning to a moment lost. However, through this nostalgia, the brain crops and edits the photograph just as one would on a computer, freezing the moment in memory as better, brighter, and more beautiful than it ever was in life. E. B. White reflects upon this phenomenon in his memoir “Once More to the Lake,” elaborating upon the nature of time, memory, and the human’s perception of reality. Through a heartfelt story about his experience at a lake with…

The poem I chose, “Happiness” by Jane Kenyon, describes what happiness truly is. It tells a story of who it comes to, and how happiness comes to everyone no matter what the situation is. The poem says in the beginning 2 paragraphs how happiness is always there and that it “saved its most extreme form for you alone”. I believe what the Kenyon is trying to say at that moment is that you have the power to be happy, even when you are alone. The poem also has very specific examples of who happiness comes to.…

Brooklyn’s Trials and Tribulations Brooklyn was a girl I used to hang out with whenever I was in high school. She was the first person to introduce herself to me when I attended my new high school. She was a really good friend and was always nice to me and since I was new to the school, she made me feel like I wasn 't alone and had someone to talk to. We would play volleyball a lot and play her x-box whenever I went over to her house after school. She was kind of tall and slim, so when we played volleyball, she would normally beat me very bad because she was in better shape than I was.…

Memories can be beautiful reminders of our accomplishments and triumphs, but they can also bring back the more dark parts of our lives that we have tried to forget. The significance of our recollections of the past is that they can still play a role in how we act during our everyday routines. Sometimes in life the way that we remember the past is still relevant in how we chose to live our lives day to day, as a result we can often be close minded when it comes to change. This photo depicts a young caucasian woman, Hazel Bryan, glaring at fellow high school student Elizabeth Eckford, who happens to be African American.…

Happiness Such a powerful word in American culture Much of my life, I had thought of happiness as a rather nebulous term. I also had some impressions that because I was fortunate enough to have been born in a first world country, happiness was just part of the package. That general disengaged and not important perspective changed about a decade ago when my wife and I learned that she had cancer. I needed to do some inner reflection for strength and direction.…

I find that the definition of happiness depends on the person and circumstances, and to me happiness is not a mere emotion that I wish to have every single moment in my life. Happiness is a relative term that some people consider an expected result of doing good deeds, and I believe it is a memorable feeling that lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of effort and always linked to a place in some way. In order to understand what happiness is, I looked into my past and tried to find out if there is a formula for happiness. From my perspective, the level of personal happiness fluctuates depending on the situation.…
