Graduation Speech: Zeta's Position

I feel qualified to hold this position because of how influential the big/little aspect of Zeta has been on my life. My family within Zeta is so close from my great grand big down to my little, and each of them have given me a feeling of having a home away from home. I’ve experienced how important getting a big sister can be when you are a freshman trying to find your way and find where you belong at Auburn. I’ve also experienced how important it is to turn around and be that same guiding light to my own little as she starts her own college journey. I want to help girls find their perfect big/little matches because I know how comforting it is to always have someone there for you; to have a family. The sophomores can meet many freshmen that can help when choosing dates. My second new idea is to have a big/little count down to reveal banner that would be hung up in the chapter room, around a week or two before reveal. I think that this banner would not only be decorative and exciting but it also makes big/little so real and important to the freshman and sophomores. I believe it will make everyone that more excited about reveal as well as reiterating how great it is to have a family in Zeta!I feel qualified to hold this position this because I think it takes a straightforward and passionate person to be the director of our philanthropy. I feel as though I have a real desire for spreading education and awareness about breast cancer. Although it is not specifically breast cancer, my grandmother passed away from ovarian cancer thus giving root to my passion for cancer awareness. I also realize how much Zeta has given me and the best way to give back to Zeta is to give back philanthropically. Not only am I giving back to Zeta, I also think I can give back to the survivors of breast cancer
