My Experience With Diversity In Research

Diversity is the inclusion of different individuals with different qualities within the same group. This includes but not limited to individuals of different ages, ethnicity, gender, physical attributes/qualities, sexual orientation, educational backgrounds, geographic location, language, income and religious beliefs. I had the experience of working with a diverse group as a research assistant and as a member of Dr. Zhuo Zhang’s laboratory at the University of Kentucky. Our laboratory was made up of individuals from different parts of the world such as Argentina, China, Cameroon, India, South Korea, and the United States.
