I have already started to save money and I try not spending any money that I get from working. I work every summer and the money I get goes into my saving account. I will be getting English, History and Government out of the way at lone star. I need to stay motivated and keep up my grades because college will only get harder for me. Getting A’s on my first 2 years is very important because in order to transfer to Cullen College of Engineering at University of Houston, I need to maintain a GPA for 3.6 or above. But with the help of the Counselors and advisors that transition is made very easy for me. The advisors are able to tell me the what classes I need to take and are able to help me layout a plan for however long you want to stay a lone star. The tutoring center is the library is a great tool for me, I can use the tutoring center to improve my reading and writing skills. They can check over my essays and help me improve them. This is a great resource for me that I will be using a lot in the future. In conclusion, adversity is key part of everyone’s life and learning. Learning from those adversities’ and challenges helps you become a better person. Having the opportunity to come to the United States is not something you get every day. I will take full advantage of opportunities that I was given and learn from my experiences to strive to be a better
