Finding someone with both traits can be very challenging, which, is why I can appreciate having the opportunity to work with two individuals whose leadership skills complimented each other. At the time I was working for a Ob/Gyn in Lees Summit and instead of having one nursing supervisor we had two. Sheryl, who was very meek, was the one with the social leadership skills and whenever the nurses had an issue within the group we could always talk to her. The other nurse supervisor Bella, who was extremely bossy and inconsiderate, practiced task/ authoritative leadership skills. When Sheryl retired and the abrasiveness of Bella´s behavior became unbearable me and two other employees left the practice. The remaining nurses complained enough to one of the partners in the practice and it resulted in Bella relinquished her position as the nursing supervisor only to resume it weeks later. This ended up in a few more nurses leaving until they finally brought Sheryl back
