When I was a child, my parents ' friend moved into a new house, and he held a house-warming party. I visited there with my parents. When I saw it, I was shocked, and I never see such a luxury big house before. It looked like the castle what I listened in the fairy tales. I thought princess or prince might live there. It had 3 floors with swimming pool, garden. The floor paved with marble, the wall decorated with some famous painting and some antique. All furniture were private ordered and imported from Italy. What gave me the deepest impression is a redwood bed, which is said that was the royal bed from Qing dynasty. He was very proud. He told me that even though he only guaranteed from middle school, he could earn much money, and had a wealthy …show more content…
In this context, college education acts as a gateway to better opportunities for those who are interested in good jobs in business area. Individuals who attended a college and obtained a degree make more money on average than people who have never attend college, according to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics in2011. It was concluded that "median weekly earnings with an Associate 's degree was $768, and the median weekly earning of someone who had high-school diploma was $638." (Allan, Thompson, 381) For example, one of my friends, she was graduated from a high school, and then she found a job in a shop as a seller. Her hourly wage only was $9.27 for a part time job. After she attended a community college on business major. 2 years later, she got her Associate 's degree and graduated from the community college. She continued working in a store, however, this time she worked as marketing associate, and her salary was increased to more than $60000. As you can see, the facts show that getting a higher education is worth more value financially than just graduating from high school. Consequently, college education will enable me to achieve my dream of getting a high-paying job in business major. It will help people to have a competitive edge in the workforce. Through the diverse skills what have acquired in college, and such people can work in various companies across the global
