The thought of going to college has always had many challenges and fears for me. One of my challenges was when I discovered I had dyslexia after almost failing high school and during my algebra class in my first attempt of college. Another challenge has been regaining my confidence after failing much of my schooling along with my first attempt to college. My passion to better serve the Lord and people in the work place or in life itself is what has stirred my desire to learn more and finish college. My faith and trust in Christ is what propels me into this adventure to complete my Associates in Human Resource Management better equipping myself to fulfill the plans God has for my life is exciting and scary.

I enrolled in a Spanish class and failed miserably. I found that my English was not up to college level to learn another language. Another discouragement was that I was not informed about the rules in dropping a course and received an F which instilled more feelings of failure. I was also enrolled in an Algebra class. I was determined to beat that course. When the time came to show my work again I failed. After many tutor sessions saying out loud the correct answer and writing something completely different from what was coming out my mouth my tutor recommend that I do some testing. The results showed I had dyslexia. I decided to put those courses on hold focusing on completing Bible College.
As I trusted the Lord I forged forward in Bible College. At first reading the bible was very empty since I did not have comprehension of what I was reading. After a while I noticed I was starting to understand what I was reading. With many tutor sessions, support of my class mates, many many hours of prayer and determination to finish I discovered reading the bible was curing my dyslexia.
