All throughout my school career, starting all the way in elementary school, school came very easy for me. I found that I rarely had to try hard at anything because it seems like I just knew it. With very little studying I was able to maintain high grades. In middle school I was put in advance math classes and it still wasn't a challenge but then in my junior year of high school things started to get difficult.…
I am Camilo Garcia. Everyone experiences failure at some point in their life. What comes from that failure is what molds the person. People say that school isn’t for everyone. I thought that I was one of those people.…
Based off the mission statement of MEDEX and the history behind the program I believe I meet that criteria. I think I do come from a diverse background of experiences. I have cared for every age group out there, from newborns to most elderly of individuals. Experiencing a long list of illnesses, conditions, and healing. My value that I hold dearest to me is caring for my family.…
When I was in tenth grade I applied to Cato Middle College High School. To get into Cato I needed to get a certain score on the college Accuplacer. Before I was accepted I went to take the Accuplacer test and to my dismay I did not do well enough to get enrolled in Cato. After failing that test I was devastated I lost my self-confidence it seemed as if nothing was going right. Before failing that test I felt like a very intelligent student, after not so much.…
During my junior year I experienced failure. I had taken 3 AP classes and I was in cheer at my high school, and trying to figure out a balance between the two was difficult for me because it seemed like cheer took up a lot of my time and in the past other two years it had, but I had managed to still do well in my honors and AP classes. My junior year was another story, I struggled a lot at the beginning of the school year, and most of first semester was spent with me having an F sometimes more than one, and that was a failure to me because I had my heart set on going to a four college or university and I knew that if i had an F i wouldnt qualify.…
Needless to say my grades improved from this. I also began to be more interactive in my school by joining several clubs like Garland High School Marching M.O.B (Mighty Owl Band) and became more active in my community by volunteering to help local schools and soup kitchens such as Life Message. I 'm only young and in high school once so I decided to dedicate some time to making memories helping my school and local community. While it has been extremely difficult and has required extreme time management, I wouldn 't want to live my life any other way right…
Coming into my junior I was not happy at all. I was very depressed and did not want to be around no one. I felt like everyone was against me and I just was not happy with life last year. I was not focused on school at all.…
Senior year changed me though. After 11th grade and being suspended 3 times that year I had to buckle down. I wanted to make a change and start new so I tried. At the start of my senior year, I made a 4.0 G.P.A and was working at a local donut shop.…
"He that is good at making excuses is seldom good at anything else." - Benjamin Franklin I'm going to be completely honest with you all. As you can see, I didn't do too well in high school. Mostly due to severe emotional trauma. I felt worthless even after graduating, and took a year off from school to figure out what I wanted to do in life.…
Getting your high school diploma requires a lot of hard work. I had spent the last three years struggling in high school just so I could earn my diploma. This was my first time going to high school in the United States. My first day in high school was not quite good because nothing was familiar. I had no idea of where the office was or where my classes were.…
High school is a time in life where many important lessons are learned to help a person grow into something better. I have made mistakes in my time in high school and from those experiences I have learned valuable lessons. My freshman and sophomore years I was not a good student. I was not motivated to academically better myself and because of that my grades suffered heavily. Those years of carelessness do not accurately represent me as the student I am now.…
School life has changed me in many ways. Whether it be the expectations of school or what actions happen in school everyday. A lot of us teenagers tend to get very distracted, and we always want to be accepted. Sometimes we try to hard to be liked and that can lead to bad pathways. The bad habits that take place in school have changed me and also the good things.…
My Junior year of high school was my challenging year, the reason to that is because we had to study for our Act also we had our grad MCAs to take. I must say it was really difficult knowing that we had those two big major tests in the same week. The amount of studying was ridiculous but in my head for a whole two months I was reminding myself that it will benefit me in the future that I need this to graduate. One part I didn 't have to worry was a portion of the MCA like the Algebra part. But the part that was extremely hard for me was geometry.…
My last year of high school was very difficult for me. During that year, I lost a lot of important people in my family and I fell into a slump. I had depression and had to miss many of my classes in order to help out my mother and father. I realized that I was very close to failing my classes and I realized I needed to get back on track.…
There in high school you have many memories, you start your year off as a freshman, you begin to have numerous memories throughout the year, you have your ups and downs and your start thinking to yourself that your can 't do it, you don’t understand anything that everyone else understands. My freshman year in high school didn 't go so well then I thought it was going to. My grades slowly when down the drain, I didn 't care what my grades were until I realized if I didn 't get my act together I would be spending my whole summer vacation in summer school because I didn 't care what my grades were. In high school, my grades weren’t as the best than other individuals. Throughout my high school years, I had progressed.…
