My Experience Of A Graduation Day In High School

Graduation Day One cloudy morning towards the end of May came graduation day; it was an emotional and special day for my parents as their first oldest child would be graduating with great accomplishments in both sports and academics. My family and I were ready to head towards the high school as I am anxiously waiting, I slipped on my gold and rhinestone heels with a dress that had matched beautifully. Leaving my house while my parents drove, they had dropped me off at the front of the school when they had to find a parking. As bright as it can be she smiled and loudly asked, “Are you ready to walk the line and be graduates for 2014 from Socorro High School,” we all responded loudly and screaming with a proud “Yes.” We continued with our screaming and yelling while we walked towards the gymnasium; I was getting more nervous and excited than I have ever felt before. I looked inside the gymnasium, it was packed than I have ever seen before because everyone came to see my classmates graduate. That was our signal to be seated. He walked back while one of our school board members had walked up at the podium; my hands were getting sweaty as I sat nervously hearing the member’s speech for about twenty-five minutes. I looked back and forth to see my surroundings, to memorize every detail the women had crossed their legs crossed and the men had their hands on their laps. We heard every school member’s speech about our future; each speech had lasted 35 minutes, we had a special guest to give us advice for the future and had some humor in him that was funny. Once he finished his speech our vice president walked towards the podium to replace our special guest speaker than our vice president positioned his body towards us ladies and this is when I started to get more excited. I was at the first row with my female classmates, we walked by the side of the stage where they had placed stairs for us to walk up also they had two other younger students to assist us to walk
