This is my first time to go to a classical music concert; the concert excited me a lot. Usually I’m not listening to the classical music and I’m not good at what classical music is. Even thought I’m not good at classical music, but I really want to learn it. The first time I really get into classic music is in last semester when I took music 107. Because the classical music is very different from the music concerts I went before. The concerts I went before, there were lots of fans yelling loud and taking videos of their idol. But for the classical music concert, everyone is very quiet and really enjoy to the songs. At the beginning half of the audiences are have their notebook out and ready to take notes. While the concert start people were just get into the music and enjoy it. I had fall in love with the jazz music after going to this concert. Although it’s fine to go to a classical music concert by own, but I think it would be better to have someone to go with you. Also two people can share their feeling and we can learn new things from each other. The concert ends at 9:00 P.M; my friend and me went for dinner. While we were eating, we are exchanging our feeling of the concert and the songs. By the way he has the same feeling as I do. Both of us thinks that the concert worth the price and worth the time. Since my friend is taking music too, so we decided to go to the next concert together. It’s good to have a friend to enjoy the music with you and it’s good to exchange the experiences. At the end I had learn something from the concert, not many, but at least learn something

Finally, I can say that experiencing this type of Jazz concert, where it is more of a casual, lounge atmosphere was very interesting due to the fact that the first Jazz concert I attended was in a more professional setting. It was a lot more obvious to me how Jazz does live in the moment, since the band actually did a whole improvised piece and was randomly deciding what they were going to play next. The connection between the band members was also very evident, they had a lot of eye contact and head signals. Last but not least, I am excited about the fact that this jazz session incorporated certain elements of Jazz that we have recently covered in class. For example, the train influence on music pieces.…

The University Jazz Combos concert did not focus on formality the way I originally believed it would. Instead of walking into a concert hall to see the performers dressed in black, already set up, and just finishing tuning there was a shocking amount of color, styles of dress, and a flurry of movement. My experience from the last concert lead me to believe that a recital would be just as formal and put together as a symphony performance. In fact, the entire atmosphere of the recital hall was more relaxed than that of an orchestra concert. The overall atmosphere spoke to the type of music presented.…

Many of the well known composers of the classical era rarely composed for ensembles without strings, which makes it difficult to arrange certain pieces for a concert band without loss of…

I attended the Stones River Chamber Players on February 29th. This was played in the Hilton Music Hall. When I was going in I did not know what to expect because I have never been to a music concert on the MTSU campus. There were around 60-70 people who attended this concert. Most of the individuals who attended were more than likely there for a class because more than half were students who did not understand the concept of staying off of their phone.…
