Over the course of my studies I took fours psychology classes and believe me if I could have taken more I would have. Through the semesters, I was able to figure out many things about my own personal life that went unnoticed before. I think I have now the power to see things differently than I did before and for this I will always be grateful. I have been introduced to the realm of psychology, like any other social science student, through my Introduction to Psychology class. Thanks to that class and to the amazing teacher that thought the basis of psychology, I started understanding some of the reasons for some of the behaviours I see in every day life. I have learned that if you look close enough, you will probably be able to decipher the reasons for almost anyone’s behaviour and that most mental processes can be explained through psychology. Studies that have been conducted through many years have been able to identify the reasoning behind most demeanors and studying this aspect of life has been revealed to be a very interesting experience. As a first time student attending Spokane Falls Community College, I honestly thought that the only buildings and areas of campus involving my class schedule would be of importance. Little did I know that one room I would encounter would become my safe haven. I remember the first day stepping out onto campus and all I saw was a giant riddle waiting to be solved so many parking spaces, buildings, rooms, classes, and students. The anticipation bubbling up inside of me was exciting and rooted with a little nervousness. I was searching for place to keep me focused on my goal of being a successful student, a place to refresh between rigorous lectures.…

She helped me to recognize that if I quit not only would I be throwing away the work that I did do, but I’d also be preventing myself from seeing what work I could do. I took that seed of information and turned it into a tree of motivation.…
