During the group project, I learn to work with people as a team and learn how we can come together to come up with a presentation. In the past speech classes I have taken, I never really had an opportunity to work with teammates. To me, this presentation was the easiest for me. All my teammates got together to help support each other and how to improve our presentation. From the past three speeches, I knew what I needed to work on to help me present myself. However, I did end up focusing more on the cards during my section of the project. Unfortunately, this was due to a technical error and I had to depend on cards. The mock interview will probably be more beneficial to me than the other presentations. Even though I had a job in the past, an interview wasn’t required. Learning the process of working on a cover letter and a resume help me understand the process and effort that goes into applying a job. When it came around the monologue section, I knew that I had to work hard to memorize the speaking role. I look bacon onto my past speeches and focus what I needed to work. I tend to deliver my speeches with notecards because it helps me remember what to say. However, I focus on my cards more than I do on the audience. Therefore, my bad habit I have is that I always kept looking at the notecards than I did to the audience. Due to this, I know that I need to work on my eye contact during speeches. In addition, I also learn I need to work more on my conclusions, so it won’t be a weak. Hopefully, in the future I would not have to use note cards as much and make better eye contact.
