Seven years ago, I left my country to live with a host family and study in the States. It was not easy for a 16-year-old girl to learn a second language and adjust herself into a different culture and environment. I pushed myself to try harder, as a result, I was granted a place in National Honor Society from my outstanding academic performance. Looking back, I have learned much more than I thought. Not only that I have overcome the hardship, but I also had a chance to share Thai culture to my American friends and family. For me, this experience was proven that with strong determination, anything is possible. During my university life, becoming a successful candidate for an exchange program at Dartmouth has exposed me to different cultures
