I set three music goals for myself this past coming year and managed to accomplish two of them. One of them was to audition and make an honor group, and the other was to perform in solo competition. Both of the goals I had set required a lot of time and work, but they were things I knew I had to achieve in order to show my progress and keep moving forward. I learned that it’s best to write them no matter how big or small and once you complete one you can go back and congratulate yourself for how far you 've come. This is something that I’m sure would have taken me years and years to learn if I had not been selected to be in wind ensemble my freshmen, sophomore, or junior
