My Experience In JROTC

Improved Essays
My experience in JROTC has been fun. I remember my first year it was fun to learn more about the program. I met great people through the program. Its help you to find yourself like if you are meant for the military or not. But also to be nice to the community and yourself. The camps of the program are really helpful because you learn how the training is even though is soft but it give you a idea. I really like the camp, I went to JCLC. That camp was really fun , I got to meet new people and do things that I thought I wouldn’t do like going down a tower. That was scary but I made it down. Now my second year it was the most fun. I sat with the seniors and like two juniors. They always funny and made it fun to go to class. They were really nice …show more content…
The seniors during that year made it worth it to be in the class. I was always a shy person, like when it was time to like practice command voice it was soft. But during my third year it became louder and then I became the 1st sgt for Bravo. I was happy because who would have thought I would become one. It was fun commanding because it brought the inner voice that was loud out of me. There were some bumps. One moment that as horrible for me was the marching battalion formation, it was my first marching and I felt ready but I wasn’t. I start off good but later one I mess up on calling the commands and it was horrible because I knew I could do better and try harder. But I learn from it and know not to give up easily and to always try harder no matter what happen. I met a good friend also during that year. He was a amazing friend and he would give out good advice when I needed it. Now my last year is here and it was interesting. I became the G-4 for the battalion and it was hard job. What made it hard was the uniform making sure everyone had their things they needed. But I made sure everyone had it and that the closet was looking sharp. The class was short because it was 63 mins instead of 90

During my senior year of high school, I had to present a project in my marine biology class. All of the students were given a subject to write a paper on and we then had to present it to the class along with our fellow group members. Me being the overachiever I was at the time decided to make a power point presentation on what we were assigned and have me and my fellow group mates present it to the class. The delivery was poorly thought out and it mainly consisted of a bunch of pictures that we thought were funny at the time. Our teacher, highly unamused by our antics failed our project.…

Senior Year My greatest memory so far in my eighteen years of being on this earth is without a doubt my senior year of high school. It was absolutely unforgettable. My senior year as a whole (which was just last year) was the most fun I’ve ever had in my life and the happiest I have ever been. When I was a chubby little freshman with glasses I thought to myself that high school would be one of the longest time periods of my life and that four years would feel like forty years. But man was I wrong, high school went by in the blink of an eye.…
