My first job taught me a very important lesson, how to stay away from trouble. When I was 16 years old, I started working for a small town computer repair shop. Being my first job, I was determined to make a good impression, no matter what. One day, about a month in, we had an elderly customer who came in for a simple virus removal repair. I had a very hard time staying focused and dedicated to anything. Shortly after my father passed away, I decided I was going to create a game as a tribute to him. When I first started, I thought this would only take a couple of weeks. I started planning the project, and as I planned it grew monumentally. It wasn’t long before it was way too large for one person to complete. Since I didn’t possess the knowledge, nor the experience, to complete this project I decided to create a small team. I went online and joined several communities and built a team of three (myself and two others). Immediately we started working, and the longer we worked more in-depth the project became. One day one of the team members quit the project due to school concerns. The other teammate decided to leave thinking the project was forever dead. Determined I continued the project by myself, learning as I went. Three years later the project was finally complete.
