An abundant amounts of high-school seniors do not have a clue what they are going to do with their lives, but unlike most, I have it all planned out. The very first day of my junior year began with anatomy/physiology and this is where it all started. I immediately fell in love with the human body and how it works! I knew I loved it because I would come home and spend hours and hours reading my textbook, researching, watching videos, downloading apps, and more just to learn everything I could about our fascinating bodies. One day, my teacher surprised us with a special guest and his name was Dr. Ghattas. Little did I know, Dr. Ghattas was about to inspire me to become a pediatric orthopedic. Not only will I be attending Gordon State College as a student, but also as an athlete. I will be playing for Gordon’s fast pitch softball team. A student-athlete’s life is packed from sunrise to sunset and many would say it is too much but the experience and the opportunity to be blessed with being a student-athlete I am grateful for. First off, I will be a great face for Gordon state college because I will excel not only in the classroom but on the field as well! I strive to be excellent in everything I do and I put forth my best effort! Being an athlete has many benefits when it comes to education and real life. I have developed various skills that will help me to be the best I can be for Gordon State College and for the rest of my life. I have a team mentality. I am very competitive and driven. I am also very good at communicating and listening to others. I am discipline and I am also a “rock.” When I say rock, I mean I have a very strong mental mentality. I will not let others bring me down or affect who I am. I will overcome every obstacle that is in my way of being the best I can be.
