My Experience At True Bible

My overall experience at True Bible was one that I will always remember and keep close to my heart. I have never really exposed myself to people who are in a different position in their lives than I have been in. At my time at the church it has opened my eyes to see that the word of the lord can have different meanings for all of us. And those who are really struggling are doing their hardest to get out of the situation they are in by following the word and advice of God. Not only is the church a spiritual place, but also a community of friends and family, advisors, and counsel to help one find their way. My family moved to Meridian, MS from California when I was around six or seven years old. Since then, all the way up to the ninth grade, my mother took my sister and me to Saint James A.M.E. Church for Sunday services. One Sunday, a cousin of mine brought me along to the service of her new church, and ever since then I have been attending New Freedom Tabernacle. I have found that NFT has certain qualities about it that have always attracted my attention in ways that St. James could not; so, I became an official member of NFT within a few months of the switch. St. James and NFT are two very separate, distinct churches in a multitude of ways, yet they also carry certain traits that make them very similar.…

In closing, despite dreading going that first day and being a full on anxious ball, I am so pleased I pushed myself to go. Because the stereotypes I learned against this church have been broken away, I see and have found the absolute truth in gospel and true church, and I have become really blessed. To this day I am a new Mormon, and I am continually learning and I am in love with it all. I say this in Jesus' name,…

An experience that changed my life forever was coming to Northwest Christian for high school. Before I attended Northwest I spent all of elementary school and middle school at Rancho Solano. Although my time there was great, it was taught in a strictly academic worldview. Then during my eighth grade year, I made the decision to enroll in Boulder Creek High School. I began to get nervous because of the change in size, but then I started to embrace the idea of change.…

I definitely felt a connection with the members because we all shared similar views. There was nothing truly different in our beliefs. The pastor was very relatable in his examples. He made sure he used experiences people understand and related it to the passages in the bible. To answer my initial question, a non-denominational church does have differences when compared to a Haitian Baptist church.…

Throughout my years as a believer I have been a member of and visited some interesting churches to say the least. I have visited some churches that have an old fashion Baptist church feel to it. I have visited churches that are more modern in their presentation. And again, I have visited churches that have a very charismatic feel to it. I currently reside at a church that leans toward the cessationist model of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.…

Red Rocks Church is only ten years old, and the Lakewood campus is brand new. It’s not even two years old and so many people flock to that campus every Sunday. It’s astonishing to see hundreds of people come through those doors and find a seat in the movie-esk pew area and praise the Lord. The church is nondenominational. They believe that God is the loving creator of the seen and unseen.…

Coming to Towson was like entering a whole new world. It was my first time being away from home for more than a week. I feel that I learned more about how even though she is a pastor that she still may have trouble in seeing eye to eye in things. I don’t think that it was how she conducted her services, but more on how she used her insight from those confiding in her to preach to the congregation. So that not only can the brother/Sister to others who may be going do the same thing but don’t feel as comfortable speaking about it. I know that if I decide to return to her church I must enter with all ears and eyes open, to better comprehend everything during service. I also agree that the Bible is the word of God and feel that in ordinary to follow God’s path, I not only need to read from the Bible directly but as well as attend church…

This summer as been a blessing and I want to share part of my journey. I want to start off my thanking my bible study leader, Yoly and Lisa along with everyone else at Appleton Alliance Church. Going back to when I was in middle school and high school I would go to AAC but sadly never considered what I was learning to be meaningful, in one ear and out the other. I was to focused on what time is it, how many more songs are we singing, how much longer until we get home, and so on. I never understood the point of singing or any of this worshiping “stuff”.…
