Their focus on achieving quality care through education of the patient and tight control of their pharmacotherapy is a role that piques my interest the most. I want a role where I am able to directly interact with patients and see the impact I create from ensuring each personalized treatment responds to the needs of the patient. This type of care is the best way I have seen that has a positive impact on the life of patients. The experience I gained volunteering with at various senior health screening showed how important it was to keep the patient informed about the own health and how difficult it can be to obtain information at times. My major in pharmaceutical science has provided a rigorous amount coursework has prepared me for the challenges from pharmacy school, as well as exposing me to a variety of subjects that will serve as the solid foundation for future knowledge. Their emphasis on research and reading of current scientific works will also help me keep up with the ever-changing nature of the healthcare field. My classes also brought forth many of the problems that plague the current health system and public health, such as rising health care cost and a rise of preventable diseases, and how practitioners and legislator are currently attempting to fix these problems. Thanks to the knowledge and skills I gained in school, I am better prepared for a future in pharmacy and can help to find better answers for improving the health of the communities I will serve in the
