Personal Statement Essay: My Interest In The Military

I have always tried to think of a job that I would like and want to take on, but I could never find one that stuck out. I tried to think of a job that would relate to my interests and the pay requirements that I wanted. Though I never could find a job that pays really well, was in my interests, and that didn’t take a lot of schooling, I have still always had an interest in the military. When I was young, I thought that shooting guns and killing bad guys was so cool, as all little boys do. I have looked into the military, and have noticed more and more that it would be a great fit for me. I have been specifically interested in the Navy. I am very interest in mechanics and air machinery. My Grandfather worked on fighter jets in the National Guard, and I think it has made me want to do the same. I love working with my hands and am very much a hands on learner. I enjoy seeing things that I work get fixed, changed, and visually altered. I have always loved working hard to get to a main objective. I am great at directing a group of people to get something done quickly and done right. I have talked to recruiters and have taken the ASVAB a couple of times. Looking into the Navy more and more shows me more jobs and what opportunities I have in the Navy. To find these jobs I looked on Navy.com. This is the website that I put for my job website. This website helps show what jobs are available, the pay, schooling and how to get recruited for that job. It is good to know what job, pay and training you will be getting into before getting that job. It is also shows you so you know how to get that job. This website has helped me to explore what the Navy has to offer me. I see what jobs I would be interested in, how much they pay and how much training is needed. With this I will know what job I want to do and know more about the training that is
