As more educators begin a journey of either mentoring or instructing, I want them to be open minded to the scenarios that may face them. Dependant on where they go there will be challenges from the curriculum to the students and much in between. I hope for them to be prepared for all possible contingencies so they can provide a quality education for their students in any field. I have enjoyed my time mentoring Ana. I will continue to work with her after the required time is completed. I have made plans and lessons to work with her outside of school. We have planned for me to meet her family so they can become acquainted and we can see each other outside of school. I saw the dark clouds in the sky, but I didn’t expect the rain to come, because it was hot and muggy. This is because it was June of 2017. When the game started we (my team and Fenton’s team) sang the “ Star Spangled Banner” on the 1st and 3rd base line.…

My field is education, specifically, birth through kindergarten and elementary education. Education has had a number of issues in the past; some of them still exist today. To narrow my focus, I looked at a number of articles, online magazines, and electronic journals. These included topics such preschool to kindergarten transitions, teacher assistants and driver’s education classes, being a teacher in your mid-career, school shootings, and using technology in the classroom. The vast majorities of these sources are from the ProQuest database and range from articles, magazines, scholarly journals, to Professional journals.…

I knew that this experience would help me to evolve professionally, however, I did not know that it would help me to evolve in a social setting. During my time with the Domestic Abuse Council (DAC), I received the opportunity to meet great employees, numerous courageous survivors, and very bright children. It was not an expectation of mine that the survivors would enter into the shelter and leave the shelter so frequently.…
