As we enter in the month of November, I am in awe how the year has been flying by. By this time next year, I will be finding out if I passed the NCE for my LPC licensure. While this idea has been on my mind lately, it has given me a different perspective how I have been dealing with my clients. I noticed I have been more relaxed and less serious with them (in terms of a less structured session), especially with Pam, Terel, Freyu and the kids I see at the daycare. Not only is my personality starting to express a bit more, but I am noticing my clients are smiling more, making small jokes and starting to feel comfortable in their own skin around my presence. Seeing Pam last week had really encouraged me that I am striving in the right profession. …show more content…
For he is a 11-year-old male child that has been diagnosed with eczema and asthma since he has been an infant. Not only does he struggle physically with his condition, it has taken a toll on him mentally/emotionally. His constant struggle is his death and how it would affect his family. Along with him dying, he also struggles with his purpose in life. While we explored his negative thoughts, values and positive emotions/experiences, it seems that I kept hitting a wall with him. This past week I did something a little different, we watched the short film “Butterfly Circus” with Nick Vujicic, who is known as the man without limbs. After this film was over, we started talking about the film and how it made him feel. Admitting that he really enjoyed the film, he finally smiled at me and said thank you for showing him the film. In eight sessions, this was the 2nd time that he has smiled in session. I hope this upcoming week we could continue exploring the film and how he could relate along with finding positive things about himself. Although Terel has been a challenge for me to work with, I sense this upcoming session will be

Explanation The cost of buying and operating EVs and HEVs can be attributed to two main contributors: the initial cost of purchase and the driving cost. The initial cost is the price of the vehicle which, in case of EVs, depends heavily on the price of batteries (Nykvist and Nilsson). The driving cost is the expenses required to keep the vehicle operational, such as maintenance, fuel, and spare part cost. Because these factors vary depending on the type of vehicle, a comparison that accounts for all of these criteria is needed to show the total life cycle cost (LCC) of each type of transport.…

A couple years ago I had the pleasure to help walk a former patient across the gym to receive his high school diploma. He received a standing ovation from a crowed gymnasium and I watched tears stream down his mother’s face as she watched her son accept his diploma and shake hands with the superintendent. It’s a memory I treasure to this day. I feel honored I was asked to be a part of this young man’s dream and forever grateful that I could experience the amount of love shown on that gym floor. On days that life becomes too hard or I start to question if this is truly what I am meant to do with my life, I reflect on that day.…

Written Summary I am very thankful for this experience counseling with adolescents. I have avoided working with adolescents because I am still quite young myself and was always anxious about the interaction and how they would respond to me. Essentially, the purpose of these videos was to develop a rapport with an adolescent and establish a functional counseling relationship.
